“We can’t be together,” I told him. “I must leave Thornfield.”

“But I love you!” he said. “Please don’t go!” He started to cry.

“I must,” I answered. “Goodbye. I will never see you again.”

Jane Eyre is not beautiful and she is poor. Her life is very difficult. But then she finds a job at Thornfield Hall and there she meets Mr Rochester. He is a strange man but she likes him.
